Faults:

I ordered the car from a Japanese used car dealer in Japan. When it arrived every part of it rattled. I replaced front and back shocks and the lower control arms. It still rattled and my mechanic said it need sub-chassis bushings, which I ordered. I took it to the local Nissan dealer to have these sub-chassis bushings put on, which required the motor to be lifted up.

Mechanic calls me to tell me that when he was test driving it, the air conditioner stopped working. The mechanic who is a trained Nissan service technician is unable to get the air conditioner to work. He has had it for six weeks and still nothing. He called in other technicians and still they can't get it to work.

They think it's a sensor.

They are still trying to trace these sensors to find out the problem. No results.

General Comments:

I really liked the shape and performance of the car. It's in beautiful condition.

It's high off the ground, has a great back-up camera and looks really nice.

The radio is not the greatest, but that was not important to me.

Faults:

There is a flapping noise when first driving off from under the car.

General Comments:

The Dualis (Qashqai) Series 2 is a huge step up from the Series 1. A great comfortable car that isn't a hunk of SUV truck metal, and isn't a cramped hatchback.
