2012 Nissan Elgrand Highway Star 3.5L gas from Japan
Summary:
Freakin' awesome, except for the gas mileage!
Faults:
Nothing has gone wrong. I've only owned this car for 2 months. My previous Elgrand, after 8 years of ownership (1st owner), no problems except for noise when my side mirrors would adjust down, when the vehicle shifted to reverse and back.
General Comments:
The Japanese Elgrand and American Quest are essentially the same, except for the outside styling. The Japanese version is hot, while the American version is typical 'Soccer Mom'. Do a search on Elgrand and understand.
I went for the hybrid leather seats, Bose sound, etc. About the only option I didn't get was the moonroof and heated seats. Beautiful, functional interior on par with the Infinity series.
My two complaints are poor gas mileage and lack of 'luggage' space. Taking it easy, on about a 60 mile highway trip, approx 65 mph, I'm getting about 14 mpg. In town, I'm getting about 12.5 mpg. Sure will be glad when some aftermarket items become available to up the mileage.
For luggage space, well, my Bose System Woofer and amp took up most of that.
Would I buy again? Maybe... if there is a hybrid model.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
