I own a 2004 Nissan Frontier, which I purchased in July of 2008. I can't complain about price because I bought the truck for 100 dollars more than the dealer paid the guy who traded it in.
I have to admit I am very happy with my truck so far. I bought the truck with 24000 miles on it. I currently have almost 42000 only nine months later, and this truck has been very comfortable to drive and reliable.
My truck was very well cared for, as I am the second owner and I have not had to do anything to this truck so far.
I have a daily round trip commute of 75 miles, and my truck is comfortable, reliable, and fun to drive.
I really only have two complaints; first the truck does not accelerate extremely well. I typically have to turn off the overdrive when getting on the freeway to keep the truck from shifting into a higher gear. I am pretty used to it now, so I don't think about it that much.
The only other complaint is I wish the gas tank was bigger. I typically get about 22 miles per gallon average, however when you are driving 300 to 500 miles per week... you are filling up a lot. I usually consume a quarter tank of gas per day... so I am filling up at least twice a week. We are currently building a house though that will cut my commute to 26 miles per day so it should be much better.
I previously owned a Toyota pickup with the bullet proof 22RE engine with 185000 miles, and I was a little apprehensive about buying a Nissan. I am glad I did purchase this truck because it reminds of my Toyota on steroids. I like the fact my truck is pretty much fully loaded... A/C, PW, PL, CC, automatic... non 4X4 and I live in Cleveland Ohio, where we had a lot of snow this winter, and I only got stuck once, and I was able to get out of on my own.
If you are thinking of buying an 04 Frontier, I don't believe you will regret it.

Gee... now I've heard the Frontier can be used for just about anything. Even a toilet!

Haha! Wow, brutal honesty... I'll take note never to buy a used Frontier in Alaska. Thanks.
