2009 Nissan Primastar SE SWB 2.0 dCi from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Good works van

Faults:

Oil leak.

Turbo, and oil pump.

Weak handbrake.

Alternator.

Plus the expected wear and tear of age and miles.

General Comments:

Nissan Primastar is basically a Nissan badged Renault Trafic / Vauxhall Vivaro. Short Wheel Base version in white, most common model.

This van is a relatively rare sight on the road as a Nissan, but the van is virtually identical to its counterpart vans.

2.0 dCi has enough power even when fully loaded while doing about 35 mpg on diesel; about right for this size and weight of van.

Not bad to drive, and actually quite comfortable and quiet for a works van. Refinement has come a long way in these vehicles. Dash is solid enough, but there are too many cheap looking plastics here and there.

Plenty of space, mine was wood lined inside since new, very good condition.

Turbo / oil failure was the most disappointing and expensive thing, but the van has otherwise been reliable as any if looked after well. Worth a look as a medium sized business van if you see one for sale that has been cared for.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
