UPDATE: Original poster; I had to get two front new tires two weeks ago; when I had gone outside that afternoon I saw had a bad flat on the right front passenger tire. The car was all the way down to the ground. When having it fixed they saw a large silver nail + also when they put it in my trunk they saw that tire was split, so was a blessing it happened, which could've been a bad blow out or injury or death. I am going to get two new rear ones shortly; that was my first flat I ever had, which I think is pretty common now as I see many vehicles with spares on them, always being careful to make sure they don't run over anything.

Well, that was the only thing I had done on my Rogue besides a tire sensor replacement on the same side that had the flat tire ... WOW!!!

Shortly it will need a new battery and I will get the brakes replaced. Hopefully when the battery is on its last legs, it will happen while at home starting up the car or I'll notice hesitating while starting up and see the battery light blinking.

This morning, I had to run by AutoZone to get a battery replacement. My neighbor across the street installed it for me. When I tried to start the car this morning, all the lights came on, but the car wouldn’t start. I figured it was the battery, and I knew it was time for a new one since the original had lasted 9 years. It’s a blessing it lasted that long, as batteries usually last 6 to 8 years. Besides a flat tire back in June, I’ve only had a few minor issues.

I called roadside assistance, and a guy came to jump-start the car. He wasn’t able to put the battery in, so I had my neighbor across the street do it for me. I knew the battery was on its last leg and wouldn’t last much longer. Thank God it happened right in my driveway! There was no battery light flashing when cranking; the only things that came on were the indicator lights and the NAV system. My poor car was sputtering. Now she has a new battery, so I’ll be driving her. The weather was bad, so I wasn’t able to run all my errands as I wanted. She idles quietly now… HOORAY!!!

Praise God

I just had an oil change at 37,000 miles and went to another dealer who does much better work than the last service department. The car needed some attention: I had to get the rear brakes replaced as they were critical. I also needed to get a brake fluid flush, as I was told it was critical. I had to replace the air filters since they had never been changed in the decade I’ve owned the car. I also had to get a new alignment, which I took care of today after leaving a doctor's appointment. The only thing left to do is replace the fuel filter. I googled it last week to see what could cause the issue, as I noticed some vibration and thought it might be related. Recently, the car has been idling roughly, and the vibration feels odd—not quite like stalling—so I assume it's critical as well. I’m glad I found another dealer, even though it's an hour and a half away. Nothing major has gone wrong with the car—everything that's been done is just normal wear and tear.

The car rides much smoother now, although I couldn't tell if it was aligned straight because of gusty wind on my way home from the doctor's appointment near the service center. The last time I had the windshield wipers changed, the rear wiper needed replacing. My Rogue is still flawless at almost 38,000 miles, and nothing major has gone wrong in the past 10 years. I did a review almost 5 years ago, and after quite a few updates, I hope I can get many more years out of this car, as long as I’m still driving it. I love this car! All it needed was a set of new tires, rear brakes, a battery, an alignment, and in-cabin air filters. The previous dealer never informed me about the in-cabin filters, which was the main reason for finding another dealer to handle oil changes, rotations, and fluid maintenance.

I’ll continue to post updates, especially when I get the fuel filter replaced and the brake fluid flushed, along with another review.
