Today I lost (stolen) my Sunny B11 1992, in Sek 14 Petaling Jaya (in front of menara bakti), Malaysia. I am very very sad, I had a lot of good memories with my car. Yes it had some problems, but it never let me down, never broke down once on the road, perfect. Just my car and me and my girl. Now I don't know what to do. No car can replace my Sunny. I love you. 31/7/08.

I live in Zimbabwe and I drive an HB11 Sunny first used in Zimbabwe in 1986. The car is a dream an is easy and cheap to run. The only disadvantage is the clutch cable system I would never dream of selling this car.

Hi! I must say after reading these comments, I am feeling very proud to be an owner of a B11 for 9 years, with only two paint overs and one engine change. It was painted in 1999 Subaru Blue, and in 2006 re-painted in 2007 Subaru Blue. I use my car for Solodex, for which my wife is the driver. Can be viewed at the pics on Solodex 3, 4 & 5 2008 at www.trinituner.com Forums - Solodex.
Need to seek some info on upgrading the engine performance.

Hi, I am Peter from Kenya, I own a 1.6 litre 1987 Nissan Sunny b12 station wagon 5 speed manual gearbox, and it still gives me its top speed (200kph) up to date, and I can't imagine a better car. The boxy shape is unique.

Hi, I am Herman from the Netherlands.
15 years ago I had a B11 station model.
I did drive it for 375.000 km, and only had normal maintenance like brake pads, oil and cooling fluid, exhaust end.
I have such good memories of that car.
I am so fed up with modern cars, that I am buying a used one tomorrow with 107.000 km, automatic, in very good condition.
Only some minor rust on the doors.
It will cost almost nothing; €500.
I intend to drive this car for the next decade, making it an old-timer.
These cars last forever, and in my opinion are the most reliable car ever made.

My name is Isaac Mbugua from Kenya. I own B11 85 station wagon model for one year now and I have come to like it so much. Fuel consumption is great. The only problem is how to get a few things like brake fluid cover since no other can fit. The body also gets rusty, but it's understandable due to age. Can somebody advise me on how the boot of my car can be repaired; it's so noisy.

Hello I am Vanya,
I also have the honor to own one B11 1.3DX.
Is my first car and I bought it from a professional driver (he is driving school buses, and he's crazy about Ferraris, and a good friend also) for 300 euro!!! The alloy wheels that is wearing cost 300 euro! And I bought a whole car for that price LOL!!!
The amazing thing is that the car is in perfect condition for 23 years; didn't miss even one service!
It's a great car, and I am very happy to have it!!!
LONG LIVE THE NISSAN B11.

Anyone with the latest information about Nissan Sentra b11? Are there spare parts for this car?
9th Oct 2010, 21:48
9/10/10 I purchased my B11 in 1983. It is 27 years old, and still going efficiently. I am in the process of doing some minor work on the body before a new paint job.
I am from Trinidad, and enjoy driving this car. I do not think I will dispose of it so long as parts are available.
I also own a B14, and from its performance, I am considering getting a fuel injection system to install on my B11. What I am not too sure about is whether the B11 engines are equipped with fuel injection systems? If so, then I would like to be informed of this, and where can I make the purchase?

Hi guys, I'm Peter from the Philippines, owner of a Sentra (Sunny) B12 with E13, 1.3L, 59Hp engine; 5-speed manual tranny and has done 200,000+kms.
Engine performance is still superb, topping out 140-145kph on straights thanks to an advanced timing tuned for 95 octane gas, changed plugs from the factory specified BR5ES (NGK) plugs to BKR6S to match our hot weather conditions (which BTW reduced ignition miss).
Overall, this car is awesome, despite the fact that it is more than 20 years old.

It's easy; you just need to fix new rubbers at the end of the boot to prevent it from shaking all the time. Otherwise, all the best.

Hi
I am Helen from Trinidad, and am the proud owner of a B11 I bought last year. It's most comfortable, and I won't trade it for another. These days the carburetor is giving some problems. My mechanic says I need an original one. The one I have is foreign used.

My Sunny's fuel consumption is very high; 240km /26L.
Any idea? You can reach me at michaelgbcmel@hotmail.com

Hi, my name is Muhammed Iqbal Patni from Karachi - Pakistan.
I have a Nissan Sunny Model 1985 car. I am looking for original spare parts for the engine. Here in Karachi, Chinese parts are available, but I don't want to use them for my car because they are not durable.
Kindly tell me where I can get some original parts. You can reach me at my cell number 0092219299757 or by email at iqbal_100@hotmail.com.

I have owned my B11 (1985, 1.5 GL carburetor engine) for 15 years. I will agree with others that the B11 is a very good car. I also own a Passat B5 1.9 TDI, which is 20 years younger than the B11, but the Passat more frequently needs to be repaired.
The B11 has only one construction mistake. It is the small radiator for the 1477 cm^2 engine. Therefore, the B11 on long uphills can overheat very easily. Every overheating of the 1.5 GL damages the head gasket.

Hi, I am Lam from Malaysia. I bought a 1992 Nissan Sunny B12, 1.3 Manual 2 years ago. Initially experienced few problems like overheating, noisy drive shaft, noisy steering tie rod etc, most probably due to poor maintenance by the previous owner. Since I started to replace the parts, not much serious problem. However I find it difficult to get good quality spare parts here. Now, I am using a V40, so the Sunny becomes idling at mom's house. Will not sell the sunny. Anybody in Malaysia knows where to get good quality Sunny parts, please contact me at lamyc@eversafe.net I am looking for CV joint, tie rod, auto gear box.
