Nothing has gone wrong with my alero beside the normal wear and tear tires, brakes and oil and the blower motor resistor it just sounds like people just beat the crap out of their alero's.

2000 Oldsmobile Alero from North America

Summary:

Lemon lemon lemon

Faults:

OK, here goes. I bought my 2000 Alero from a used dealer. First of all the dash is bubbling pretty bad on the driver side, this was OK.

The first week I noticed the brake and anti lock, low tire pressure, change engine oil and low coolant lights were all on and would not go off. I put air in all the tires, changed the brakes, and filled with coolant and the lights would not go off.

The engine would not stop overheating, so I took it back to the dealer and the mechanic fixed the problem so far!!!

Now I have noticed that some times when I go to start the car, it will not turn over until I put gas in it, and it already have over a quarter of tank of gas in it.

Now while driving down the street, the car will just die as if it is out of gas. If I let it sit for awhile it will start, however it will only drive for about 2 miles and die again, and it keeps doing this over and over!!! The signals and hazard lights work when they get ready.

Yes this car is cool to look at, but it is definitely a LEMON!!! If any one knows how I can fix any of these problems, please email me at babiegurl0030@aol.com

2000 Oldsmobile Alero GL from North America

Summary:

Lemon

Faults:

I bought my Alero in 2004. When I bought the car, I really liked it. But soon after I bought it, my engine oil had mysteriously disappeared. The engine started knocking & the car's engine was fried. Lucky for me, I had just bought the car, so they had to fix it, under lemon law.

After that it ran OK for a while, then it started to misfire. I fixed that with a tune and changed spark plugs. Then the car started to vibrate only when it was stopped or on a hill. The shop told me it was the motor mounts. Still haven't fixed them; I don't think it's going to fix the problem.

Then the fuel pump went out; cost me 800$ to fix it along with the shot rotors.

Interior is falling apart.

Rear view mirror fell off twice.

Inside dome light has fallen out. Won't go back in.

Driver's side window will not roll up.

Trac light comes on all the time.

The car is all over the place when it hits a bump.

The most annoying thing about this car is the vibrating.

I can't wait till I get rid of this car!!!

If the dealer "over charges you twice as much as the car is worth" (as you contend), why on earth did you buy it? Do you like paying too much for cars?

I suspect 15:14 doesn't realize that the car is now worth half of what it cost at time of purchase... due to the unforeseen mechanical failures. I had numerous transmission failures on my import which brought my value down to a third! It was all documented on Car Fax.

Hi! 15:14 here... Obviously the car wasn't worth the purchase price at the time of purchase either!
