1993 Oldsmobile Ciera S 3.3 Liter 6 cylinder from North America

Summary:

A boring but decent sedan.

Faults:

Needed new battery right after I bought it.

Tune-Up was done and minor parts were replaced.

The paint is white so it easily rusts in spots.

General Comments:

This is my first car at age 16. I've had the car for only about 2000 miles and 4 months. It has been reliable, so far, driving it to school and work.

The engine is noisy and it feels like it runs rough. The 6 cylinder engine provides adequate power. However, it seems to hesitate too much when prompted to accelerate.

Don't bother to race or try to impress anyone with this car.

The transmission works fine and is acceptable, however there is no overdrive.

I haven't measured gas mileage, but it is probably uses about 20-25 miles per gallon. The ride is moderately comfortable.

The car looks great when shined up. I actually think the white looks sharp. Nice looking hubcaps and fake chrome strips accent the paint.

I would rather have an older, more powerful luxury car (Delta 88, LeSabre, Caprice, ect.), but the reason my parents and I bought this car was the low mileage.

1993 Oldsmobile Ciera S 3.3L V6 from North America

Summary:

Overall a great deal for what I paid!

Faults:

Harmonic Balancer needs replaced.

Front driver-side inside door handle is broken.

Needs front brakes and rotors replaced.

General Comments:

I have only had the car two months. I feel that once I replace the harmonic balancer this will be a very reliable car. Does need front brakes and rotors, but the person who had the car before me drove it very hard. Car rode smooth before the harmonic balancer started going, now it has a distinct rattle and vibration while driving. For 350 dollars and unmatched deal!

This car is very reliable, it has never left me stranded.

This car has some real get-up-and-go power.

The front seats have a lot of leg room, however the back seats have very little.
