1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 4 door Pillarless 5.7 V8 Rocket from North America

Summary:

OMG You gotta drive my car

Faults:

The transmission went out when I first purchased the car, but only after driving about 200 miles home, but it was my own fault. I should have changed the filter and fluid before the long drive, but let it go and paid the $1100 for the tranny rebuild, which isn't bad at all as far as transmissions go.

Everything still works, including the power seats and the damn radio!

General Comments:

I love this car. It was my first American car and I don't plan on selling it anytime soon. It always starts, whether it's 95 degrees or -30 in the winter, just a touch of the key and it fires right up.

Power is fabulous, highway and from the line. MPG is painfully terrible, would probably be better if I kept my foot out of it.

The interior is near perfect after 35 years and 120000 miles. Does surprisingly well in snow and seats nine.

The handling is a little sloppy, but this is a 4 door, and the springs and shocks are near needing replacing.

All in all, the best car the USA ever produced.

1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass SUPREME 350 ROCKET from North America

Summary:

A wonderful buy for a great performing car

Faults:

The only thing that truly went wrong was the water pump, but it was easily fixed. I actually did the work myself.

General Comments:

My car turned heads as I drove down the streets of San Antonio. Many people offered twice the amount that I paid for it and that was just on the first day. The sleek look of the body was the biggest part of the car. It just screamed muscle.
