Faults:
Battery was bad when I bought the car.
Alternator went out a week after I bought the car.
A wire shorted out and caused the dash lights to stop working in 1993. A simple fix though, and now they work fine.
The exhaust started to rust out around 1996. I have a new complete exhaust system on it, and it is doing great.
The shocks were bad when I bought the car, and went bad again around 2001, so it is on its third set of shocks.
General Comments:
I bought this car in the summer of 1990 after my 1976 Buick LeSabre got totaled due to a drunk driver.
I instantly fell in love with this car soon after I bought. I have put a lot of work into this to make it shine like new, and it does. I have all 4 locking spoke hubcaps on the car, and they look great with white wall tires. The Light Champagne paint really looks good all shined up. The dark brown full vinyl roof looks good as well.
I also love the dark brown pillow top interior. The interior is like new and the seats are extremely comfortable. I have had two headliners so far, but no problem there.
Despite the miles that are on this car, it runs fantastic and I love it and continue to drive it and love it more every day. I have a little Dodge Aries for the winter, so the Olds doesn't have to put up with the harsh New York winters.
All in all, I love this car and wish they still made these things today. I plan on keeping this car in original yet brand new condition until the day I die, and after that I hope my family will continue to keep this car like it is now a daily driver and in brand new condition. I have all of the original documents on the car, including a bill of sale from 1984. I also have kept records of all of the maintenance I've done to this car ever since 1990.

My favorite car. They're wonderful and rare now. But be warned - take care as repair shops will try to replace that cold air with the new 'environmental' type. My mother had this done to ours and the air never worked well again.
