5 month ago, I bought a used Opel Vectra 2.01 1995.
I very much like this car, very convenient, before I used a Japanese Daihatsu Xenia/2005, a new one.
I have problems with the battery of my Vectra. I must change the battery, but I don't know the right amperage for the Vectra. The old one in my car is 80A, but my friend said it is not right, too big for a sedan. Can't I change it with 65A, because the 80A is too expensive?
And the last is, where can I get the manual book for my Vectra in Indonesia. I live in Jakarta - Indonesia.

Thank you very much for the information for my Vectra.

Regarding the overheating, what we do normally here in Uganda is that we remove the thermostat valve and if it still overheats, mechanics here improvise a larger radiator.

I have 1997 Opel Vectra 2.5 wagon. My problem is I already cleaned the radiator, but there's still a lot of oil that is mixed in my radiator? Where has it come from? What is the possible problem that I may have? Please help me?
Thanks.

I have a Vectra 1600cc, 1997. It's a good car.I have a problem with the heat and water level. It always goes low, so one time the radiator was broken and it was the main reason for heat. I wash it and the temperature goes normal after it. I want to know about the air condition problems.

Hi everybody. I own a 1997 2.0 Vectra, and I was wondering if there is a way to make the temperature lower than the 90 (my fans work at 95 and stop at 90), so I was wondering is there any thermostat that makes it work at 90, and goes lower?

Hi everybody. I am the one who was asking for the thermostat that works lower than 90. I found one that works on 82, and I can't wait for Monday to buy it.

Hello, I use an Opel Vectra B in Nigeria, and it's giving me the same problem of overheating. This lead to me changing the engine, and on the same day I changed the engine, the car overheated and stopped just a kilometer drive from the garage. But then I think the manufacturers should customize the engine for different regions with different climates.

I own a 2.0 16V Opel Vectra 1995, which has performed well for many years. Normal temperature closer to 90 than 95 degree C. Last one and half weeks cooling temperature rose driving slow at rush hours and engine coolant level needed not only topping up, but more liters. Car is kept at service and repairs by GM only. Checked out today and conclusion is leakage at engine gasket - coolant leaves via exhaust and engine must be opened. Approx. 137.000 km. As the car is without AC the first indication is virtually not a too high temperature, but a reduced heat rate in the coupe register.
