1982 Plymouth Horizon Four Door 2.2 from North America

Summary:

Wish all cars were as reliable

Faults:

The car was almost bulletproof, replaced the Struts at about 250000km and the clutch at 325000km, and had to tighten the tappet cover bolts at just about every oil change.

It was a victim of a train wreck style freeway accident otherwise I'd have kept on driving it.

General Comments:

It wasn't a flashy car, but reliable transportation, if you can find one that's been well maintained it would be worth it.

Handling was excellent, it was a fun car to throw into the curves on a mountain road.

For the level of car, the interior was remarkably well appointed, cloth panels on the doors, comfortable seats.

The deceptively small looking trunk held an enormous amount of cargo.

There was actually decent headroom in the front seats, in the back taller individuals became well acquainted with the head liner.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I had a 1981 2.2L. It out accelerated V-8 engined cars to 75 mph and got 40 mpg.
