1987 Pontiac 6000 2.5 4 Tech from North America
Summary:
"Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name.."
Faults:
Things on the car that have gone wrong had to be the really hard ones to fix. For example: the control module died. the crank shaft sensor broke, and the transmission needs to be replaced.
Other minor problems are the seats in the front have really worn badly and it looks like someone took a bite out of the dashboard. I had to replace the steering coluumn after someone tried to steal my car, destroying the other one.
But what has to be the most annoying problems I have is the fact that rust is beginning to take over, (Rust problem will be fixed this summer, 2002) and the red Pontiac emblem on the front has mysteriously vanished.
General Comments:
I love this car! :) I don't know what more to say! It has been extremely reliable and I don't have any guff with the parts that failed or broke, because this car has over 260K miles on it and it is still mostly factory! I paid $50 for the car, and have probably another $150 to $200 tied into it at this point.
It's not as quick as it was when it rolled out of the factory, but I can get that car to go if I need to.
And to sum it up, I have officially named the car Sargent Pepper. And the theme song for it is Sympathy for the Devil by Guns N' Roses.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Enjoyed the review. Comments about the condition of the car after your sister had it were hilarious. It's too bad some people don't even bother to keep up with simple maintenance like changing the oil regularly. Buying a used car from someone you don't know can be a scary transaction nowadays because some people treat their cars like a piece of a trash.
