1994 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3.8 from North America

Summary:

Bonneville is Power!

Faults:

Headlight switch is bad, just like my other 94 Bonneville. The other one has Twilight though, so it's not as annoying.

Recently having problems with coolant loss. But we all know that once you plug one hole, it moves to the next weakest point. Every things been easy and cheap to fix. Just make sure you get a 195deg. thermostat or it causes lots of problems, in my car at least.

General Comments:

I traded my 97 Grand Am for this car and it was the best deal I made! My grand am just doesn't compare in any way to this car. I own three Bonneville's. Two are 94 Bonneville's both are SE. Have never had any problems with any of them. Never once have I been left stranded because of these cars. I've owned Bonneville's since 2004 and will continue to own them. If you're looking for a good car, this is the one! Just watch the intake manifold gaskets.

They are the best cars I have ever owned, I have always been a big fan of Pontiac's mostly Grand Am's but since buying my first Bonneville I've switched teams. I have always owned Pontiac's and always will. My next one will be a GXP Bonneville.

1994 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3.8 from North America

Summary:

Great Car

Faults:

Water Pump, Spark Plugs, Plug Wires, Fuel Filter, Brakes, Power Window, Battery.

General Comments:

This has been a great car. It now has 75,000 miles on it with very few repairs. It gets between 27 - 30 mpg on the highway and about 20 mpg in town. I have a friend who owns a 1992 Oldsmobile that also has the 3800 engine and after 227,000 miles he is still driving it. I am sold on GM quality and will buy another when the time comes.

1994 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3.8 from North America

Summary:

Mine was a lemon

Faults:

Basic maintenance.

Exhaust broke between manifold and cat. converter.

Tie rods.

Lost radio code so stock radio was useless.

TPS and/or MAS started to fail.

Rear frame mounts broke, ending the cars life.

General Comments:

I didn't have the car long enough to enjoy it the way most reviewers said they have. I'm assuming this car must have been a lemon from the start. I bought this car from a friend, and it mostly sat in his driveway or was used as a family community vehicle.

One of the sensors began to fail, causing the car car to acceletate constantly at times (even when stopped) or just die out at random times (usually while braking.)

I got on the highway one day, hit 60 miles an hour, and the car made a loud clunking noise and jumped. Both the rear frame mounts gave out and the frame/motor/trans assembly was 3 inches from dragging on the ground. I drove the car home like this and it sat until the towtruck came to take it to auto heaven.

The pressure from the frame pulled the steering shaft connected to the rack out of the steering column so wheel spun in a circle and tires didn't move.

I have never been impressed by any GM vehicles. This car did ride nice, however, and have good speed while I owned it.

1994 Pontiac Bonneville ssei 3.8 supercharged from North America

Summary:

Probably the most fun car I have owned!

Faults:

Some paint fading. (to be expected for age)

Oil smell after a long drive. Think its the valve cover gaskets.

Moisture in rear lights.

General Comments:

This car goes like STINK!

I have never had a mid size car like this.

Hope to spruce it up with some fresh paint and drive it forever.

Put a hitch on it and it tows our camper great.

1994 Pontiac Bonneville SE 3.8 Liter V6 from North America

Summary:

The best mid-side car I have ever owned!

Faults:

The only thing I'm having a problem with mainly is the left rear taillight is taking in a little water.

The headliner is starting to sag and the drivers seat needs some patch work on the leather.

The paint has faded a little other than that everything else is perfect and working.

General Comments:

I really love this car. This is my first mid-side car I have owned and I would surely own another one after this one.

It has 100,000+ miles on it and is still running strong and has tons of power under the hood.

This is a really comfortable car for driving long distances.
