As the first guy said, if you maintain your vehicle well it will last a long time. People who break lots of stuff beat the crap out of their cars and don't maintain them.

I own a 1994 Fire bird LT1 V8. Took it on a trip to Kansas. Used 27 mpg. 22 around town. Great car. Expensive to fix when something does go out. But, this is the best car I've ever had. And I've owned my share of Mustangs. Sold a mustang to get this car. Glad I did. When something WILL go wrong considering the year on this car, I will pay to fix. LOVE IT...

Even if the current owner does all the proper maintenance since he's owned it, he bought it with 106,000 miles. Of course these cars get driven hard and the higher the miles the opportunities it was beaten on, regardless of the documentation. These major problems lead me to believe that it was abused by the former owners. I've owned three 4th gen F-bodies and never had these major problems. I've also owned three Mustang GTs that were less than stellar with reliability. Sounds like the poster got a T/A that was beat on.

I also own a 1994 firebird formula, my first car, I haven't really beat on it but don't drive it super easy, has 97,000 miles, I keep up on the maintenance, and the only problem I had was the water pump went, and I noticed it the day I was going to change and flush the coolent so it wasn't a big deal. Great car love it, would take over a mustang any day.

I had a 95 Z28 with over 100k and I now have a 94 t/a and love it!!! The only money I put into them was for fun not problems! Mustangs can't come close in anyway!

I have a 1994 Trans AM gt with 168,000 miles on it. I have only had to replace one headlight motor, the Optispark at 118,000 miles, and the water pump. I use the car as a daily driver and enjoy it very much.
