1994 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.1 V6 from North America
Summary:
Excellent Car! One of the best Used Vehicles You Can Get For Your Money
Faults:
Mechanically this car is wonderful. But, when it comes to electronics, you'll have a lot of problems. The power mirror switch no longer works. My door lock switches, no longer work. The driver's side window falls off track and sideways into the door when you roll it down, and the passenger side window sticks a little. Other than that, the main concerns I've had are the braking system, and the alignment. It takes a very long time to get stopped, and the brakes have been known to lock up which can be scary. And no matter how many times you have it aligned, it will still pull to the right. The only major repairs I have had to make were a replaced alternator, and new tire-rod ends. Nothing major.
General Comments:
I love this car so much despite the troubles it might have. But, when it comes down to it, I'd rather have problems with my windows and switches, than have a car with a bad engine. This car still starts on the first try every-time like it's brand new, and at 129,000 miles I find that impressive. This car will fly... it is definitely a cop-magnet, but it handles great. The gas-mileage is average, but can get expensive these days. And, you couldn't have a more comfortable car. (If you can ignore the fact that it is a slightly bumpy ride.) All in all, I wouldn't trade it for the world, and Pontiac makes the best you can buy. I myself scored this car for only $2,400.00 2 years ago, and I'm glad I chose this one.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
