2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE 3.4 liter from North America
Summary:
A costly Lemon
Faults:
On the column shifter the button you press to put it into gear pops out periodically. You cannot change gears without it.
The brakes went out after they had just been replaced only 20000 miles ago. Not to mention the rotors had to be replaced as well.
I had to have the power steering pump replaced recently.
I've had to replace my headlamps twice.
Finally, my transmission is skipping really bad and I have no way of checking my transmission fluid because they didn't install a dipstick.
General Comments:
This car's overall performance is good. As long as nothing is going wrong with it a week or two down the road.
I would definitely not recommentd buying this car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Hey I was reading your comment about your Grand Am. I've had my 2001 Gt in the shop too for the same noise. It is very annoying. Mine ticks at like 2-3 the speed of the normal turn signal. And this is when the turn signal isn't even on. When I took it into the shop they changed the hazard switch. I got back in my car and turned the key and it was ticking again. So I just got back out and the guys were dumbfounded. Maybe as if I wasn't going to hear it or something. But yeah its going back to the shop in a few days because my back brakes are rubbing. Tell me if any of this sounds familiar. Hiddenpotentialz@aol.com.
