1976 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe 5.7L 350 CI. 2bbl Orange Block from North America
Summary:
Overall, I believe this car to be the next collectors dream
Faults:
I have had to buy a new alternator, power steering pump and hoses, and a new fuel filter so far within 2.5 years of owning the car. I have gone through two power steering pumps; however, I believe that the fault of these were in the hands of the installer. It is developing a trunk leak which I cannot find the source of (if anyone has information as to where it could be coming from please let me know at sean@myfatwallet.biz).
General Comments:
This car is unbelievable. I would not sell it for $1,000,000.00, solely for the fact that I know this car will be a crowd pleaser in the years to come. Of course you see the '67 Chevelles and Corvettes all over the place, but how many people can say that they own a good condition 1976 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe, the last muscle car? Although the power could be better, due to the lack of weight loss, you get your satisfaction knowing what could happen if the car was lighter. The steering is unbelievable as well. You can drive this car with your pinkie and still have complete control over it. However, I am not too pleased about the fuel consumption, mainly due to the fact that you don't get as much power as you would like for the amount of fuel burned.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I have had hundreds of cars in my day, but the 1976 LeMans sport coupe was the best overall car I have owned, I stupidly let it slip out of my hands & have been looking for one in similar good condition. It is one of those cars that you don't understand how good they are until you own one!! To this day I almost break my neck when I see one going!!
