I have problem with AMT. The warning light switched on when driving in D, then it turns to manual gear and later to N. Can't change the gear after this. Initially, can reset the warning light by switching off the engine, but now already cannot. Need to wait 1/2 hour before can restart and move again. Anybody with this experience? Hope can share what to do and how to fix it.

My AMT Savvy has already been repaired 2 times..

First changed ignition coil on Oct 2009, then after 2 months my car cannot start, then repaired ECU.

I do know after this what problems will come... I feel so sad because the cost of repair is too high, like a luxury car...

Its now possible to repair your AMT without replacing it. The robotic part can be repaired and it will only cost you RM100! Please don't listen to Proton, my AMT was leaking AMT fluid, and they asked me to replace a part and they wanted to charge me RM3k! I took it to a specialist, and he manage to fix it for me. Total cost, RM30!

BTW please use the proper oil, Renaultmatic d3 syn for your AMT and Tranself TRJ for a manual gearbox (you need both if you are using AMT, as AMT also uses a manual gearbox, but the robotic arm is changing the gears for you).

Hi there, where do you repair your AMT Gear box?

I had a problem to start at the first time, changed the starter, no difference. Then change the AMT fluid, as I never changed it before. 2 weeks after I changed, the fluid overflowed out. Until now, still the same. And new problems, speedometer drops to 0 sometimes when driving on the highway..

Please advise if you know about these problems..
