Faults:

It all started when car was sent for routine maintenance at the dealer's... they had the timing belt changed at 40,000 km and claimed the water pump is leaking and needed to be replaced.

Just 10000 km later, the timing belt broke down during driving and the engine needed an overhaul for that. Since then I had to set a monthly budget for the mechanic to fix or replace new parts! The gearbox has sucked since its first few thousands of KM. The engine of the 1.6 is very weak, especially when the A/C is on.

Ahhhhh: windows need to be fixed at least one time a year due to their very bad quality plastic parts!

Brakes are good and it's nice to drive on highways.

General Comments:

The car is stable, nice to drive in first 2 years.

Automatic gearbox = 0.

Faults:

Since I have had the car, nothing went wrong, or if the "Mute" button behind the steering wheel that doesn't work counts, then that went wrong. Besides that, no problems thankfully.

The only thing I replaced since I got the car, are the brakes, and I needed to buy 4 new tires because the ones which were on the car were quite old.

General Comments:

It was a car which I was craving for, for a long time. I read many comments, and most of them were negative towards the car, stating that it's not reliable, etc. So I bought one, it was quite cheap for a 2004 car. The car is very well equipped, with light and rain sensors (which work), to A/C, heated seats, all 4 windows are automatic, 6 airbags, and with its 1.6 16V engine, you would be surprised how good it pulls, especially compared to my previous 1.4 MPI Logan. The car may not look that "sporty" but if you tend to drive it like that, it responds surprisingly well. It's a very solid and stable car, and this engine fits it perfectly, and works very well with its 5-speed gearbox.

It has a lot of storage space, a spacious boot (for its size) and is very comfortable. Overall I'm very pleased with the car, it goes perfectly fine, all of its gadgets work fine (except the "Mute" button) and the hatchback model still looks very fresh. I would buy another Renault, maybe a Megane 3 or Laguna 3, only time will tell.

I would recommend this car to anyone, who wants to buy a modern well equipped solid car, for a small price, you won't regret it!

General Comments:

I am thrilled to be a driver of a Renault. I am 19, and this is my second car. The only reason I got it, was because my grandfather gave it to me before he passed away. He used to work at a Renault dealership, so he knew a lot about the car.

My car drives so well, the ride is smooth, and it has good power when you need it. The car gives me a real sense of security whilst driving, and I am confident that I will have no issues with it, and will own the car for a long time.

It is a very luxurious model; the interior is full tan leather, which gives it a nice classy feel. Another bonus on this car, is that from what I have been told and seen on the Internet, is that it gets a very high score with crash test ratings. Apparently it is one of the safest cars in its class.

To sum up my review. I feel very lucky to have such a lovely car to drive. Thank you for making such an amazing car for me Renault.
