Faults:
Car won't start in cold weather. This is the third winter I've had the car, and the first winter I've been having this problem.
I invested over 10 grand in this car and it won't start in the winter?!?! That's ridiculous.
When I took it into the shop, the mechanic told me my battery was very weak, which might be the cause, so I got that replaced, although it didn't cost me what most of you have been paying for. It was 115 for the battery and 25 for labor. But anyways, that worked for about a week.
This morning I started it up just fine, went to the gas station, filled my tank and then I got nothing. It didn't start for a good 20 minutes. Sometimes when I try to start it, the engine backfires, whatever that means, doesn't sound good to me though. I'm going to try to warm the key if I have the problem again, but really though, I shouldn't have to frigging warm my key to start the car. It's not like I paid a grand for this car. If that was the case, I wouldn't be complaining so much. Cars should be built to be able to start in any weather condition, not just for warm weather.
Seats do stain easily, I usually wash them in the summer with laundry soap, some sort of scrubber, and a shop vac. It works pretty well and makes the car smell fresh, but if it rains out and gets inside the car, it may leave water marks from time to time.
Cheaply made. Plastic isn't what it's all CRACKED up to be.
Lighter plugs (or whatever their called) broke for no reason, neither of them work now.
My automatic door lock on the driver side does not work anymore. Have to manually lock it and unlock it. When this problem first occurred, it was like my car didn't register that the door was closed, so the lights inside would stay on, and of course the only way to turn them off was to take out the bulbs, then on top of that, when I locked it with the automatic lock, which sets the alarm, the driver side lock would unlock just automatically and set my car alarm off at let's say 2 in the morning. It seemed to have just broke completely so I don't have that problem anymore, but still have to lock it manually.
General Comments:
This car gets excellent mileage.
Problem is who cares about mileage when it doesn't even start?
Very small and cramped on the inside. If someone is in the passenger seat and I reach for my drink in the cup holder, I usually bump their knee.
The manufactured CD deck in it is pretty bad, looks alright though I guess.
Saturn is unreliable.

My Saturn ION 2004 is a nice car, but unreliable. I have been late for work and my son has gotten detention. That's how many times I have been late. I wish Saturn would do something about this problem. There is enough complaints on the Internet about this problem!
