Don't you see!!!??? Come on it's a frigging GM!!! What they are good for are plastic interiors and very very ugly cars. Also their quality is terrible!!

I own a 2006 saturn ion and I agree with everyone who has had problems with them - they are dangerous to drive - my daughters car stalled on the road and caused a wreck - saturn was no help the car has 26000 miles.

Stalling problems on Saturn's can sometimes be traced to overheating and/or defective ignition modules. Similar problems that happened on earlier GM car models. Have the dealer replace the igniter (high voltage ignition) module.

My 2006 Ion is at the dealer 12/28/2009 for the car engine, which just shut off while I was driving Saturday. Everything else in the car works.
Turn the key and the engine doesn't turn over. Wait 10 minutes and the car starts. Engine ran for 5 minutes as I backed down the ramp. Same thing; wait 10 minutes and the engine restarted. Drove the car home and shut the car off and had it towed to the dealer. Only 25000 miles on this car. Dealer asked if I had the extended warranty, and I said I thought the car would last longer than this. Guess I should have known when I first bought the car and had it a week, that I got a check engine light and they had to reprogram the computer with an update that took a month to get from GM.

I bought a 2006 Ion Quad coupe brand new and absolutely love it. It has been super reliable. There is a documented NHTSA recall on the fuel pump. Get this replaced and you'll notice improved performance in the vehicle. I wish Saturn was still around. I'd buy another.

A car stalling when new is unexpected. Calling it a lemon, however, Is very misleading.
Usually the term is reserved for cars with repeat problems.
Maybe provide a bit more information on what actually happened to the car?
