2006 Saturn VUE FWD V6 Redline 3.5L DOHC V6 from North America
Summary:
The 2006 Vue Redline is an awesome SUV
Faults:
Nothing to date.
General Comments:
We owned a 2003 Vue before with the ECOTEC L4 and the dreaded VTi transmission. Everything about the car was fine and had no problems, but the VTi or CVT transmission had issues. GM finally got rid of it, but I don't trust these transmissions from no matter where you buy them from, whether Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chrysler, Audi etc. I'd rather stick with a manual or regular automatic.
For 2006 the Saturn Vue got a facelift and other changes, especially the interior, which make it almost completely different than our 2003. We decided this time to get the V6 and Redline package. The Redline package involves sportier steering/suspension, larger tires, lowered chassis, exterior/interior enhancements. Overall it looks much more refined compared to our 2003.
The interior is especially an improvement. There are high quality materials and an interior that overall looks 1000x classier. If you had doubts about the Vue before, no worries now. Everything in the Vue has been tried and tested, especially the 4-Speed Automatic that replaced the VTi. The 5-Speed Automatic in our V6 shifts smooth and also is a lot more reliable than the VTi. Also, with the Redline package, you get secure and sports car like handling, which I could never say about our 2003.
Overall, I'm impressed with our new Vue and we definitely have no worries with this car, unlike our other one.

So the transmission on your '03 was not to be considered part of the car?
'When you disregard the failure of major components, the car was bulletproof!'
