Hi.
I learned to drive in a Seat Marbella three years ago.
I still have very fond memories of that dinky little car-especially the removable back seats. In order to start my new business, I upgraded a year ago- to a Seat Terra H reg diesel. This rusty old dear is even more fun to drive, and just as economical. Long may it last.

It's great that you all people comment on the Marbella so good, but I don't believe how you could go 100 or a bit less mph in it; I made 75 and wouldn't like more cause it becomes very noisy and with no rev counter, I'm afraid it might overheat.
Mine is '87, but it was driven only about 50000 kilometers.

I have a Marbella CLX 903cc with Seat Terra gearbox. It does 100mph without problem. It's a hell of a car. I love it, it's indestructible in normal use, more reliable than any other car...

We drove two SEAT Marbellas from the UK, down to Marbella in Spain, and then up to the Arctic Circle and back again. We did Marbella to the Arctic Circle in 4 days 21 hours. We did it for the Epidermolysis Bullosa charity DebRA.
Neither car faltered once, despite them carrying five blokes so far in so little time! Great, basic reliable cars!
If you can still find a low mileage one it's a bargain, and probably a future classic.

I've got a 1991 Seat Terra camper conversion. Engine & box is 1.4 VW diesel from a Marbella. The gear linkage has broken and I need a new one.
Any ideas please?
Thanks.
