This is a follow up to my last comment in 06. We now have 93000 miles on our SX4. Tires do wear pretty fast. We are on our 3rd set.2nd set of brakes. Recommended service was done. The CD portion of the radio skips once in a while. The light for the clock is inop. It still runs great with decent mileage. Options work as they should. We will pass it on to our daughter soon.

Our 2005 has had a host of annoying problems that should not be happening. My wife and I are in our 50's and drive conservatively.
Our first set of tires wore out at 19,000 miles. I found out about a rear alignment problem and tech service bulletin (TSB) by accident. The dealer (that's another horror story) claimed to have repaired the suspension and sent it out for alignment (free under the TSB). Second set of $$$$ tires wore out at 40,000 miles, and yes, I rotated them.
I then brought it in to an independent alignment shop. They said the rear wheels were WAY out of alignment. So much for the dealer's alleged work.
Proper alignment and tires lasted 35,000 miles. Better, but still not so great for $$$$ tires.
Other gripes: Rattles; Hatchback door will not unlatch (2nd time it had to be fixed), AC does not work (little use - 75,000 New England miles - Suzuki ought to be ashamed), air dam is fragile, broke when going over snow.
Worst complaint: Dealer and Suzuki Corp. couldn't care less about the tire/alignment problems when I talked to them. Terrible customer relations. I'll never buy anything made by Suzuki again.

I have got the 2005 SX version of Aerio, & it is one great little car, which is not really that small.
We do have a Grand Caravan too, and it feels like I have more legroom, headroom & shoulder room.
I do abuse my cars by not taking much care, & so far this Suzuki is still going great. I have got 135000 kms so far and have done maybe 6 oil changes. Never had any issue at all apart from the tires, there is definitely something wrong, the initial ones lasted around 40k, the 2nd ones another 40k, the 3rd ones have seen about 30 and they are in bad shape. Even the winter tires I used this yr were not in a great shape after 25k.
The clock always loses time, so I have to fix it every couple of months.
Have done one brake job, which is not too shabby. No other issue ever.
This is my 3rd Suzuki, my first one was 1992 Swift, which I kept for 11 yrs, then I had the XL 7 Limited for 4 yrs and loved every moment of it.
Solid cars.

I own a 2005 Aerio SX and have had 2 problems with it. Tires are crap and had to be replaced at 25,000 miles and paint chips along top surface of back bumper are common when cargo is moved in or out. A skid protector would be advised.
Other than that I have nothing bad to say about the car. It is a blast to drive. Quick with tight cornering and virtually no roll. A sporty and cheap AWD vehicle.
