2013 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross SZT All Grip 1.6 diesel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Not impressed

Faults:

Mostly oil related problems. Leaks, problems with the seals and pump. Stinks of oil all the time also.

General Comments:

Many moons ago I had a very reliable Suzuki Baleno back in the 1990's, but their modern stuff leaves a lot to be desired. I bought this car thinking it would be reliable - I was wrong.

On the plus side, it's a pretty decent modern car to drive. OK power and economical (when it runs right) and the inside is nice, comfortable, spacious and well equipped.

OK so I bought it used, but the car appeared looked after well. All services appear to have been done.

Just don't trust it.

That's about 17l/100km; it's pretty high, even for a new car. It's probably the temperature that didn't help, and the city driving, especially for short distances. Once the engine is broken-in (after about 20.000km), you will probably get about 14-15l/100km in similar conditions.
