1992 Toyota Paseo from North America

Summary:

I love the Toyota Paseo

Faults:

The exhaust system had to be replaced.

The driver's side window doesn't roll down because it is out of it's track.

General Comments:

Can only fit up to 4 people, 5 if you try real hard.

People in the back hit their head on the back window.

Great on gas, over 30 miles per gallon.

Front seats are comfortable, but back seats are not.

Handles nicely.

Engine is still good, it has a lot of miles on it.

Great first car.

It's mostly a girl car.

1992 Toyota Paseo from North America

Summary:

I love this car

General Comments:

This is a great first car indeed. I save a lot of money in gas because the tank is small and the mileage is high.

1992 Toyota Paseo from North America

Summary:

Excellent first owner car, the gas mileage is great, and it won't let you down

Faults:

When I got the car:

Windshield washer button was gone, did not work.

Rear struts were gone.

Black cloth interior was faded to gray.

Since I've bought the car:

1 oil pan replaced.

1 gas tank replaced.

Numerous wheel bearings (front) replaced, but that's just the mechanic, not the cars problem.

Both door locks do not work, passenger door won't open now.

(Bear in mind my car is old and has 335,000 kilometers on it. That's 209,000 miles!) I am not complaining in the least!!

General Comments:

Awesome gas mileage.

VERY dependable. I live in Canada, we have some pretty cold winters.

Used to corner very well, but again, its getting old, and now skips on cornering if the road has bumps.

I love my Paseo, I would recommend it to anyone.

Great two passenger car, back seat is used for carrying groceries, no one taller than 4 feet can sit back there comfortably.

The trunk is huge for such a small car.

1992 Toyota Paseo from North America

Summary:

Great sporty looking car and economical for SMALL people

Faults:

Fuses broke a few times (radio and lights turned off while I was driving at 3 am in the morning.)

Changed the alternator a year after I bought it and the conveyor belt.

Aside from that, I barely had any repairs to do. Within two years, I have only spent 500$ on repairs on a car that was 13 years old.

General Comments:

Very economical car, drives well and handles very well.

Very easy to park with this car.

Sporty looking car at a very reasonable price.

Great trunk space, but the trunk door (opening) is small--making it sometimes hard to fit larger objects into the trunk. Backseat flips down to give more room for transportation.

Note that this car is meant for petite people. I am 5"2 and my head almost touches the ceiling.

Car ideal for two passengers only as the backseat is extremely uncomfortable.

If you have young children, backseat will be fine, but if once you are bigger and taller, your head touches the rear window.

The car gets very hot during the summer and air circulation doesn't flow well when the windows are opened.

Despite these minor flaws, I love my Toyota Paseo. The only reason why I need to get rid of it soon is because I need a car with air conditioning.

1992 Toyota Paseo 1.5 from North America

Summary:

Great first car or first car to learn standard on

Faults:

Breaks need complete replacements, costs me $1200, engine caps were cracked, all these happened when I first bought the car.

General Comments:

The condition is very good consider it is a 13 year old car, it drives well, the pickups is a bit slow, but 3rd gear on it is sporty, the car will go up to 140kmh quickly and will reach 160kmh without major vibration, the handling is very good for its class, handle curves very well. The back seats are next to useless for adults.

1992 Toyota Paseo 1.5 4 cylinder 16v EFI from North America

Summary:

A tuner titan of the past and present

Faults:

Seo's have some major problems with throwing rods. I threw mine only 5000 miles into the car of course I was going 128mph with not even a drop of oil in the engine.

General Comments:

Why I love my Seo.

Superb handling.

Comfortable.

Light as a feather.

Great quarter mile car.

30+mpg.

Why I hate my Seo.

Turned down by a chick in it.

Something my parents take away.

Hard to find performance parts for.

Worst system ever put in a Toyota.
