1982 Toyota Starlet none 1.3 4K from Costa Rica
Summary:
A poor man's Mini
Faults:
No special problems. I give it the required maintenance and components such as alternator, voltage regulator, carburetor and clutch had been replaced due to wear.
General Comments:
I have own the car by almost 18 years. Have been my daily driver for 16 years. It is reliable, easy and fun to drive, fuel efficient and fast. Mine is a red two door U.S. version with the large bumpers and I still love its looks. As a matter of fact, is really a head turner (It has a very good paint and upholstery condition). It is structurally very strong, almost indestructible.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I totally agree with this, the Toyota Starlets up to 84 are not only a classic little car, they have the "pep" and the reliability that makes you appreciate them even more!
I have no worries working on them myself, and I'm just learning as I go, very easy, and a whole lot of rear wheel fun!
Well I'm rambling a bit, but for a few hundred bucks, you couldnt ask for any more :)
Cheers Toyota!
