"They cannot compete in quality of materials, fit, finish etc."
Another case of someone making a statement about cars they've never seen. Our family has owned 2 'Vettes and a client of mine has a Ferrari. I've been inside both. The fit, finish, interior quality and luxurious feel of the Corvette DOES NOT match the Ferrari... It is several notches ABOVE it. Look at cars before making incorrect assumptions based solely on ad hype, cost and image. The Ferrari has a very bare and spartan interior compared to the Vette, and the seats are not nearly as plush and comfortable.

9:02 sorry to burst your bubble, but mechanically the Vettes excel without removing engines for tuneups and massive maintenance costs. I hear why many exotics are actually driven little. What's better, driving or staring at your car under the lift with the clutch of the month club? I can buy either, but I like driving.
Used imports are not all expensive in comparison to new. I would rather have a 10 year old sports car not sitting with 4000 miles showing as they are trouble prone in my opinion.
I have a full size domestic Artic White Silverado that has Vette upgrades to compliment my C5

Actually I've seen both - truthfully I wouldn't want either.
I would rather have my money in the bank, than a status symbol that I wouldn't drive in my garage.

No I am not. I just looked at them AGAIN. The Camry has a 75% approval rating for ALL YEARS. The Taurus has a 51% approval rating for ALL YEARS. I looked at the percentages, and it clearly states right above them that they are for the Toyota Camry and Ford Taurus. YOU are the one who needs to get their facts straight.
And yes I do realize that the 2006 Camry has a 0% approval rating. Why? I'm not sure, could be some domestic fans trying a pathetic attempt at marring the Camry's name. Personally, I really don't care. I still trust the Camry.
My worst vehicles have been domestics. My last Chevrolet, completely blew it's engine at 60,000 miles (it was a '95 Lumina.) My last Ford, was a 2003 Windstar that needed over $6,000 dollars in unexpected repairs within a year of ownership, it only had 105,000 miles on it when the transmission died. Yet, my first car was a '73 Honda Civic that had over 400,000 miles on it when I bought it and it had 515,000 when I sold it, original engine and drivetrain (I know this because I purchased it from my mother.) I then bought a '91 Accord used in '92 from a very good friend of mine, and it went 450,000 miles on the original engine and drivetrain (I passed it on to my father in '95 when I made the stupid decision of buying a Chevy.) And my '96 Honda Accord went 200,000 miles without a single repair. I sold it in perfect running condition at that mileage. My current vehicles are a 2008 Honda Civic LX that now has 30,000 miles and ZERO PROBLEMS, and a 2007 Hyundai Elantra that has 56,000 miles and ZERO PROBLEMS.
And another thing about the 2006 Camry, there are only 7 reviews on there, makes me think there really isn't anything wrong with the car and it's just domestic fans giving fake reviews. Because if there really were some many problems with it, you would see a lot more reviews on it, warning people of how "bad" it is. Just me. I rest my case.

"What's better, driving or staring at your car under the lift with the clutch of the month club? I can buy either, but I like driving."
Excellent point. I looked at a 2-year-old, extremely expensive exotic on a used car lot this weekend. It had FOUR HUNDRED miles on it!! The price being asked was less than 60% of the new purchase price, so someone shelled out tens of thousands of dollars to decorate their garage for two years. Friends of mine have owned exotic Italian sports cars. All of them were horrendously unreliable and very poorly made. Comparing a Corvette to one is doing the world-class Corvette a HUGE injustice. The Corvette is not only a very high-performance car, but is extremely civil for daily driving and built with far more quality and reliability than anything Ferrari has ever built. The 'Vette can be driven to the grocery store or the kids soccer games. The Ferrari does good to go on freeway sprints without acting up.

While these are valid points, and yes the Corvette is more reliable (One question though, if your buying a supercar, why would you even be worrying about reliability? It's not like you drive it everyday right?) But you have to take into account that Ferrari has lineage behind it, much more so than the 'Vette. Plus, when I think Corvette, I think balding white guy in his mid 40's.

So now if an import gets a bad review it is a "fake review"?? Give us a break. Toyota is recalling more cars and fighting more lawsuits now than Ford ever dreamed of. Read the newspapers. That will tell you why Camrys get awful reviews. They are dangerous, poorly built cars.

You know, when I took exception to the Corvette/Ferarri comparison, it was because the Ferrari is built with quality interior components, is virtually all hand-built, and is certainly going to hold some value better than the fiberglass 'Vette made with generic GM parts and the typical low-rent interior.
I had no idea people would take this so personally.

I have over 100 Vette members in my Vette club, and quite a few are driven daily. I know some late models that have 50000 miles plus, and some only several years old with over 100,000 miles. Many members have 2 of them.
I see Ferraris usually only at a couple of shows, and they somehow do not get the trophies as do the kits such as Cobras. We drive to Carlisle, recent Bowling Green and many shows 2 hours plus regularly, and some long distance caravans. The stereotype of who drives these cars can pertain to imports as well... likely successful, business owners, dual incomes etc and sure many are older. I see a lot of older Porsche, Mercedes and Ferrari with a few grey hairs as well. I see a lot of young and older husbands and wives though mid thirties up that enjoy bringing both Vettes together, his and hers to shows. Some have a 60's and then a newer Z06 that they drive. One family has 3 that regularly appear all 1957 models in my club. And they are show winners, yet driven without hesitation.
The wife got her 57 for her 57th birthday. I had my first Vette after college and still like them, and recently bought another after a long wait. More power to those that can drive and enjoy.
I do not want a troublesome used import that has low miles more from apprehension of something breaking and acting up. If they are not driven regularly, they can be costly even if you own a Rolls Royce. Not for me.
I also like nice full size trucks tastefully upgraded without a butch of tacky add ons.. nice handling and performance also GM. I recommend test driving all full sizes and look at bed capacity, towing capabilities, room, ride handling and best warranty. I look at imports and have owned them too. If a really outstanding truck comes along that offers the most features overall, I buy.

No, the figures you are citing are for ALL Toyotas versus ALL Ford products. Camry rates WAYYYYYYY below most cars on this site, and definitely lower than Taurus. Look at the SPECIFIC Camry and Taurus listings. The Camry is also beaten out by the Pontiac Grand Prix, Chrysler Sebring, Buick LeSabre, Buick LaCrosse, Buick Lucerne and the 1980 Yugo, just to name a few. Very few cars beat the Taurus in overall owner satisfaction. Check the facts. Also please explain why the 2006 Camry has a ZERO satisfaction rating, which is the WORST on this site for any multiple-car year listing.
