2007 Toyota Yaris 1.5 from North America

Summary:

There is nothing to not like about the Yaris sedan!!

Faults:

Nothing, but I've had it only two weeks.

My only complaint is that the driver's side armrest is a bit too low and too hard.

General Comments:

After hesitating to buy this car (I had my mind on Corolla only and had never heard of Yaris) I LOVE IT!!

At first the seats seemed too high, the steering wheel too low and the center speedometer panel was disconcerting.

But it takes only a day or two to get used to these things, and notice other features.

The car, for a subcompact, is peppy and handles beautifully on the highway even at speeds up to 120 km/hr, although it's a bit noisier than my Nissan Sentra was.

The steering is tight, and 15" tires give a surprisingly smooth ride that grips the road, even during the snowstorm that I brought it home in.

Nothing seems cheap about this car, from the roomy and attractive interior right down to the doors which close with a satisfying "thunk!".

The very short front end makes maneuvering in tight spaces and cornering a breeze!

2007 Toyota Yaris 1.5L 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

Great value for the money. Would definitely recommend

Faults:

Absolutely Nothing!

General Comments:

I love this car! I love this car! I love this car! I don't particularly care for the dealership I bought the car from, but I absolutely love the Yaris. Great on gas. 38 mpg at 60 mph. 32 mpg at 80 mph. Nice and roomy. I am 6'2" and fit in the car comfortably. The only issue I have are the armrest. They are very hard. I've been on this site for a few years now and after reading the reviews of the Corrola, Echo, and Tercel; I feel that I have made a very good choice with Toyota!

I just went to Charlotte this weekend. 600 miles one way. Going down I cruised at 65mph and got 43 mpg! Coming back I cruised at 80-85 mph and got 39 mpg! Awesome!!! Did I make the right choice? I think so...

I wrote the original post and the first comment on this review. I made another road trip. I drove from New Jersey to Los Angeles. Normal driving (80-90mph) I averaged 40mpg. One day of driving I filled the tank and drove 55mph just to see what fuel consumption I would have. I got an amazing 55 miles to the gallon!!! No, that was no typo. I really got 55mpg. I called Toyota Corporation when I got to L.A. to tell them what a wonderful car they had. On the way back, I went up through Oregon, Washington, and on through Canada. It took me 7 full days to get back to the New Jersey. I ripped down route 1 (Trans Canada HWY) in Canada at 100+ mph. My top speed was 115mph. Interstate 10 in California is a lot of fun to drive on as well. That's another road I hit 115mph. I couldn't get the car past 115mph. Hey, it's a 1.5 liter! Driving through the mountains was awesome. (just don't have the air-conditioner on. LOL)

I am the original reviewer. The car now has 51,000 miles on it. I just took a trip to Miami, FL. 1200 miles one way 2400 miles total. I cruised at about 80-90 the whole way and at a few points got up to 100-105mph. I averaged 37-38mpg the whole way. I love this little car.

No mechanical issues. I get my oil changed and tires rotated every 10,000 miles. Yes, the car has only had 5 oil changes so far. Will keep you guys posted.

2007 Toyota Yaris 2dr liftback 1.5 liter from North America

Summary:

Aw some..

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong to day, which is one day.

General Comments:

Am loving it.

Just picked it up on Dec. 3rd.

Panoramic View, Seats comfortable, automatic, no frills, motor, AC, chasis, and tires, all good.

Has plenty of power with what feels like power boost from Toyota's ignitions system.

Very practical.
