I have owned a 1.2 corsa for the past year and the performance is terrible 0 - 60 is 18 seconds just look on parkers. And it does indeed handle like a bus.

Those guides may say 0-60 in 18 seconds, but I believe its more like 14, and as for top speed mines seen well over 105. Its nippy enough when needed to be and as for handling, well this is my first car so I don't really have an opinion on it. Its very reliable and keeps its value. An AX GT is very tempting though.

Just bought a 1.4 corsa for my 1st car, it seems to take about 10 minutes to get from 0 - 60, never mind 18 seconds! so I can't imagine giving it beans in a 1.2! Good on the motorway though - does well over a 100 smoothly.

Well my Vauxhall Corsa runs very well for a 10 year old car. Everything is perfect for me. Positive all round, for a 1.2 consuming. This is my first car - there are better cars out there, but these Corsas are the true car.

I actually have proof that my 1.1 corsa will reach 0-60 in 15.1 and that is on a slightly greasy road...!!!
Ps. I'm a racing driver So doubt it would get there any faster than I was pushing it.

Corsa 1.2 does has a lot of potential, not seen when its Standard Factory issue settings and parts are installed.
Try,..
1. Lubricate air mixer valve and flap under Air Filter, inside box
2. Purchase a K&N Air filter or Induction Kit.
Not recommended however, cos it leads to higher fuel consumption,..
3. Obtain and install a ceramic chip into vehicles ECU.
All three tasks are relatively easy to do, and you'll manage 0-60 in 12s.

I have a four-door Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 and I can get from 0 - 60 in 14.2 seconds and I have no mods at all. The max speed I have done in it has been 112 mph on the motorway.
It may not be the fastest car, but the way you drive helps. xx.

I have a friend who's just passed his test a few weeks ago apparently, has a Corsa 0.9 litre engine and says he's managed over a 100. Is it possible and if anyone has any websites where I can get proof that it isn't possible, please feel free to help.

I believe the slowest 1.2 Corsa is 74bhp, which reaches 60 in 15 seconds max, and is capable of 102mph. Maybe the one you have tested wasn't switched on?
