1985 Vauxhall Nova Sport 1.3 twin 40's etc petrol from UK and Ireland
Faults:
Rusty rear arches but what do you expect for a car of this era. Stickers cost a fortune to replace. Needs tuning every month. That's about it! Very reliable so far!!!!
General Comments:
The best Nova ever made with performance figures of 0-60 in 6.5 seconds in a 1.3 engine and a top end speed of 135 mph - it's an absolute scorcher. Bilstiens were later fitted to the car and it handles like a Mini now. Very few left now out of the original 501 made. It's recommended that the brakes be changed because the originals are not very good.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

How many Sports are still in existence??? Is there a register or club??? I've had mine since 1987 & there is no point in replacing it cos what else is so cheap to run & so much fun to drive with the induction noise.
Reliability: 1 x front w brg, 2 x water pumps, 2 x head gaskets, 1 x set rear brakes (complete), I won't count front discs & pads cos it's the fun factor. Tyres can last between 3,000 miles (Yoki A008's) & 36,000 miles (Yoki A509's) or maybe I'm just getting old!!!
Now covered 127,000 & about to get a new head & cam.
