Hi all.
I've had my Signum 2.0 DTi cor just over a year now. Love all the space in the car and the power, but 2 months after getting it, it started going into limp mode. I have 3 children so I stopped driving it. First I tried cleaning the EGR as the cheapest option; that didn't work. So I replaced the EGR. Worked fine for 4 days, then the limp again. So then I cleaned out the throttle body as I heard this could be the problem, and it worked for over a week. So I gave her a good old clean (as I'd been holding off if it was going to play up again), then sod's law she went into limp mode again later that day!
I noticed just before it went limp, that my fuel light came on and was some distance from a petrol station. I could feel her pulling on the way to there. Filled her up and shortly after she started limp mode again and spanner light came on and off. I've replaced the fuel filter and made sure there was enough fuel in it. It started with a puff of black smoke, then when went limp, white smoke, then cut out. Now she won't start. When turning the ignition on, it doesn't even sound like one of the fuel pumps is working. Do they have an electric fuel pump in the tank??
I'm trying my hardest to keep this car, but she's starting to cost me a fortune!!
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks Carleyanne.

I have got a 2004 Vauxhall Signum 1.9L Elite with an aftermarket turbo; it keeps stopping all of a sudden while driving and it happens a lot. It's a 54 plate.

I had the same problem. 2.0 dTi mk4 Astra, turned out to be the map sensor on the back of the inlet.

Yes, check the pollen filter. I had the same problem and it was the dealers fault so they stripped the car and dried the carpets out.
