I have the same problem. I have a W reg Zafira that keeps cutting out, and have to use full throttle accelerator to get going. Does anyone have any ideas?

I bought a W reg Comfort yesterday 74k, drove it ten miles and it cut out 9 times. Revs were dropping below 1000 almost from the start.
I dropped it off at my local garage; although it's early days, the revs seem better and the problem appears to be fixed.
Here's what the receipt said regarding the work. Remove throttle body, washout and clean - renew throttle body gasket. Clean out breather pipes, road test and reset throttle cable.
Only cost £73.00, Fingers crossed, it's done the job!!!

The radio display does not work. I've changed 3 displays, but none work guys. Any suggestions are welcome please.
Thank you.

Can't select first gear on my Zafira Comfort 52/2003 2,0 TDi. Have to select second before going into first. Drives OK.

Disconnect the negative from the battery for 10 minutes then put it back. You will see the mileage back again.

I have the same problem. My car used to cut out, but then start again. Well now the car gets to about 5 miles, then cuts out and will not start till the car has cooled down. It's driving me mad, as I have spent so much money on it, on a full throttle body clean and coolant sensor, and it just seems to get worse, and I can smell petrol in the oil, and when it does finally start, there's lots of white smoke. Can anyone help me with this problem?

The idle control valve can be cleaned with some brake cleaner and a little elbow grease. A much cheaper fix than paying for a replacement unit.

Hi, I have a Vauxhall Zafira 1.6 petrol, and the rev counter keeps going up and down, and stays around 2000 RPM. Help to sort this is needed. Thanks.

Hi, did you find out what the problem was? I have an 07 Zafira and have to put the throttle to the floor for it to start.

If it's an aftermarket stereo, it would need an adapter kit to display on the original Vauxhall screen.

I have had a Zafira for 10 years. Absolutely love it, but the engine has started to cut out while driving. We have spent £100.00 up to now trying to resolve the problem with diagnostic checks, but it wasn't solved. I am gutted to have to scrap my car, because everything else on the car still looks and feels brand new.
After reading the reviews online, Vauxhall should be able to diagnose the fault and let the customer know how to resolve the issues. I have now got to get a loan of £10,000 to buy another car, which will not live up to the Zafira. Gutted.
Please help if anyone can resolve the problem before I go into debt.

The first two years of having the car from new was fine, and I liked the car.
Around the two year mark my car randomly jerked when driving (like kangaroo juice as the saying goes). When that happened, it would always cut out when you slow down for lights, round abouts etc. Anyway, Vauxhall could not find a fault as the computer would not pick it up. This was happening 1 in every 3 journeys.
Anyway, two weeks later I took it back and the computer picked up a fault. The valve needed changing. 2 years down the line the same thing is happening now, and it is not under guarantee. I took it to Vauxhall and one of them took it for a drive and decided that something needed to be cleaned out. I explained that it was the exact same symptoms as before, but they decided that it needed a clean out in a certain part. Anyway, it went away and over the week it started happening on every journey to and from work. Took it back to Vauxhall and they can't do anything as the computer is not picking it up. Really frustrating now as it is that bad. It bounces back and forwards as you drive. Embarrassing as well when you have passengers and when the car does not start up for a bit after cutting out when slowing down. I am now driving a car and worried that it is causing long term damage or scared that something will blow up.
