I have also had a problem with the wipers at front not working. Where is that fuse located? I think that's the issue I have, it went last night I believe while it was raining on the way home from work! Thanks.

Hi, they are under the steering wheel area or under the passenger side of the dashboard, I can't remember fully, sorry! You might need to look in the manual to see which is the right fuse, bearing in mind it might not be the fuse! Worth getting checked out properly maybe?

We changed our VW Fox for a Polo Match 1.4 TDi. At nearly twice the price of the Fox, it's not twice the car!

In 2 1/2 years and 55,000 miles, apart from a faulty coil, it never put a foot wrong. Two front tyres, 5 services (3 which were part of the finance deal) and a set of wiper blades were the only additional outlay.

It's roomy, reliable and fun to drive and above all it's a Volkswagen for £6.5k! So if you're looking for a small budget car, forget your unreliable little French / Italian tin boxes and get yourself a Fox... You won't regret it!

We got a Fox 1.2 base for my wife. It was cheap (for a VW) cost £6000 brand new. We paid an extra £200 for 3 years servicing, which was cheap.

So all in all,an unbeatable deal.

So far, touch wood, no problems at all. The car is now 2 years old and has had no unexpected costs.

It's 45 BHP. It pulls like a train from low revs, and embarrasses many a "boy racer" at the lights.

All in all, I strongly recommend the base 1.2 if you don't want luxury (no electric windows/air con). There is nothing to go wrong, heaps of space for 4 inside too, and a usable boot - to boot!
