Faults:

DPF re gen.

Hazard relay.

Locking issues.

Slight rust on front wheel arch.

Water pump leak (changed with cam-belt).

General wear and tear for mileage (brakes, suspension, etc.)

General Comments:

The Passat is still worth a look even at this age. I have had this car 4 years with no major issues.

Getting on now, but the car for over a decade old still feels fresh.

SE model has plenty of electrics. Interior is nice and refined.

Pretty sharp looking in grey metallic.

Good to drive, punchy and economical (over 50 mpg taking it slow).

Solid feel to this car, VW is well built no doubt, I like it.

Faults:

EGR valve needed cleaned (rough running).

Really not much else. But I've only had it a year and a half.

The car was bought with full history, well looked after. Service is essential on these cars to maintain reliability.

General Comments:

Got a good deal on this used Passat; normally they are overpriced, but this one was just right for me.

Silver with 5 spoke alloys, looks very smart. Good looking car.

Interior also looks good, and being an SE model it has electric everything. Smooth and quiet for motorway cruising.

Good to drive, nothing special but never a chore. 2.0 TDi is strong and always does over 50 mpg.

A solid reliable car for the money. Take your time to look for a nice one - there is soo much very high mileage over priced rubbish out there.

Faults:

1. The central locking button fell inside the door. Replaced under warranty.

2. The passenger airbag sign fell into the center pedestal. Fished out by me.

3. The driver's electric window switch stopped working. Replaced for 60€.

4. The START/STOP system stopped working at 142.000Km.

General Comments:

Great car, low fuel consumption, low maintenance costs. Feels premium.

The compatibility and the voice command of the RNS510 system is great with the iPhone.
