1979 Volvo 66 DL 1.1 from Netherlands

Summary:

A fun and collectable car because of the low cost price and lots of spare parts available!!!

Faults:

My battery went down. The seats are starting to wear.

That's all.

General Comments:

The cars' acceleration is really quick for such an old car. The handling is not that much, but that's because there's lot's of weight on top.

Although two guys walked over my car last week, the paint is completely intact. No rust, I'm gonna drive this thing for years.

Centrifugal clutch disintegrated after hard use.

General Comments:

Loved the Michelotti styling, went well from a standing start (would beat many a boy racer at traffic lights), did fantastic tail slide specials in wet!!!

Get yourself a real DAF instead of these rebadged Volvo's.

I saw one of these on the road yesterday in a very attractive shade of Mud Brown. They are still about!!!

I have one!! Blue 1977 DAF Volvo 66 GL! Really cool... I can't get rid of gas smell inside the car...
