2014 Volvo S60 D4 SE 2.0 diesel from UK and Ireland
Summary:
Expensive but nice
Faults:
Turbo, suspension, brakes, ABS, power steering, electronic key fob issues. All expensive to repair.
General Comments:
S60 - a fine car from Volvo, but only if you have deep pockets!
I bought this car approved used with low mileage a few years ago, and it has given me some trouble. Looked after well and I continue to look after it. But even independent garages cannot get around part costs. Be aware taking this car to Volvo main dealers - they are very expensive.
That all said, when this car is running well, it is very, very nice. The S60 is a fine large family or executive car. Smooth to drive, very nice interior, quality materials.
Punchy engine and can be very economical if driven carefully.
Good looking exterior.
I want to like it more, but just unsure of long term reliability. Post year 2000 Volvo and certainly those made after 2010, they are not what they once used to be; they were known as a reliable brand in the 1980's / 1990's.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
