To continue my own comment years ago.

My first 93 J30 with 370,000km had retired due to slipping transmission.

My second 93 J30T with 240,000km retired as well last year, due to the same problem.

I have been lucky enough to have bought a beautiful 96 Burgundy J30 with only 70,000km in 2008. Now it has about 112,000km and runs so beautiful.

3 weeks ago I bought another 93 J30T with only 105,000 km from an old gentleman. He kept it so well and clean. I feel so lucky for having this one. People asked me if I have an obsession problem with the J. I just answer them "Yes". I love it.

I now have two parts cars for my own J30s... I am still looking for another clean one. Hopefully a white one. Wish me luck...

Further to my last comment. The transmission of my first J30 died after a long trip in a hot hot summer when it reached 370,000km. The second J30T had the same problem when it reached 247,000km in 2010. I did not bother to fix them, and used them as my parts cars, because I bought a "brown" 96 J30 with only 65,000km in 2009. I purchased another beige 93 J30T with less than 100,000km for the price less than the cost of fixing the transmission of my previous green J30T.

I think I will be driving a J30 forever. I am still looking for a good white one, as I think it the the best color for the J30.

Cheers...
