Have 245k on my 2005 Escape 4cyl. Still runs great, but has loud tick in the engine.

I have to say... I LOVE My 2002 Escape XLT!! I have 198,000 miles on it, and have had NO big issues with it... Well until now :(

I found out today I need a new transmission!! I am not as upset as I know many of you on here are, because I have had no major issues till now.

Now my problem is... Is it worth replacing? Or do I just let my truck go???

I have 239,000 miles on mine. O/D light just started flashing. It's paid off and I've driven it for over 10 years, so I'll drive it until it stops, and then go buy another car.
