Yes he did. I was the one who sold it to him. I showed as a feature car on Starbirds show circuit for a year or so. I was living in Nashville when the movie was filmed. It was built by Doug's custom shop. I still remember every detail about this car. Hope to build another one some day.

I have ALWAYS wondered what happened to that '55 movie car. I've owned a black '56 Olds, 2-door "88" Holiday hardtop for over 7 years now.
I would LOVE to be able to see the "W.W." Olds in person and take some photos, if that was ever possible!

Do you still have the WW Olds? If so, would you send pictures? I've always wondered what happened to it. What condition is it in today? I heard Darryl Starbird had it for a while, is that so? I've always been a fan of the 55; I've owned 5, but none as neat as the movie car.

I have been trying to find the original car from the movie. If you still have it, could you please contact me. I'd love to hear more about its history, and see some current or recent photos of it. Thanks.

My grandparents owned a 1955 Oldsmobile 88 Holiday. The exterior was black and gold with mint green interior. Do you have any pictures that you could post? My mom has great memories of the car going cross country, and would love to see pictures of your car.
