If the car is otherwise starting and idling normally (not running like an old VW engine with vibrations - which indicates a coil gone bad), check the accelerator cable, or if it's drive-by-wire, perhaps a wire somewhere fell out of its connector, or may have failed. Get it somehow to an independent mechanic (or if you have mobile mechanics), who may be able to spot the problem.

Hi Luke,
If the car is otherwise starting and idling normally (not running like an old VW engine with vibrations - which indicates a coil gone bad), check the accelerator cable, or if it's drive-by-wire, perhaps a wire somewhere fell out of its connector, or may have failed. Get it somehow to an independent mechanic (or if you have mobile mechanics), who may be able to spot the problem.
Tony.
