The 90s Town Cars are nice too; the look and feel is just still too modern for me. Plus I don't have air shocks to worry about.
I'd love to get 70s Continental or Town Car some day. Heard good things about the 4.6, but my 5.0 runs great and seldom has issues; I always change my oil every 3-5k.
Whichever you prefer, the Town Car is miles ahead of my '86 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with the incredibly sluggish 307. The Lincoln ride cannot be beat.

The only downside to the '96 TC is single exhaust (190 HP vs. 210 HP).
Good car otherwise - enjoy :)

My dad bought an 88 new. You couldn't ask for a more comfortable car to go on trips. He spent winters in Sebring FL and would drive north in the Spring. Always bought white cars. Cooler with the tropical sun beating down on the interior. Very cold air. Nice cars; not a city car, but great on the open roads.
