I have seen quite a few beater street cars well overdue for a scrap yard final destination trip Yet they had high end new rims installed, lowered and new aftermarket alarm systems in them. My family often got cars in like that in their city shop, often with engine overhauls required. Oil barely ever changed as it wasn't a visible upgrade. I don't know how much foul weather improvement one will ever get with new wipers installed on top of a cracked windshield. But I have seen some amazing cars towed in. And often saw much better ones in a scrap yard.
Christine left the yard last week. When she returns I'll have to start searching the junkyards for parts. Anyone out there know where I can get a good parts catalogue for Christine... I mean my '74 Apollo?
