I just want to fix my old convertible. I have chased parts for years and buying the donor car took care of all my wants at one time. Now I don’t skim eBay, Craigslist, Hemmings, or junkyards for parts. I walk behind my garage and there it is waiting. It was never about having an extra engine or transmission, but about having all these extra small parts that are hard to find, not to mention the cost in obtaining the parts. If I hadn’t owned this car for thirty years and it wasn’t the one my deceased dad help me build all those years ago, I would sell it and buy one that is ready to drive. Thanks for your interest.

Does anyone else see some validity on any or perhaps all the considerations involved before recommending hauling a second project car on your property. Or is it wise to just haul one home and dismantle. You may not have a week to actually have it removed. It’s a lot easier to discuss a week vs issues involved obtaining one physically. Been there.
