The CVT will either delay in “fake shifting” or will have NO POWER when you’re giving a decent amount of pedal force. I know it’s underpowered, but this is the CVT.
Nissan isn’t in a class action lawsuit AGAIN for nothing. They’ve been sued before for faulty CVTs in previous models. I can only hope I benefit from the same lawsuit ranging from 12-17 Nissan/Jatco CVT.

Hi, thanks for asking. The CVT is very sloppy when it comes to shifts between the sub planetary gear. When I slow down from 25mph - 5mph, I have to use caution because the car will lunge if I don’t use extra braking force to stop the car. If someone was distracted, they would easily hit the car in front of them thinking that the vehicle was at a stop. Also from park to drive or reverse, the car really loves to clunk and shudder. Now I could understand if I parked on a hill without using the park brake, but this is flat surfaces. It’s not total junk, but I had a crap Scion iQ with a CVT and that was much more solid. At least it felt so.
