I had a 1991 Buick Skylark; it was replacement of my Escort. That thing was the slowest ever, but sure was more comfortable to drive; could have exchanged the seating for my recliner.
It had 125,000 miles before being sold off to a teenager who used it for pizza delivering. When bought it I paid $650 in 2004; it had 80,000 miles, like a brand new car in good shape, ran and drove great, just slow as a turtle.
Got 30 mpg; 2.5 Iron Duke engine which was used in the Somerset Regal before being replaced with the Skylark.

A 1991 Buick Skylark is not classified as a mid-size car; hasn't been since 1972.
