I had a locksmith come and do something in the ignition to bypass it and it's been fine ever since. $100 bucks he charged... my security light would come on.

The keys are expensive to replace. I have a '92 Eldorado and bought an extra set of them. Actually I had them made. Get them made at a locksmith not a dealer. A lot cheaper, but still pricey.
